Thought this would be something funny and shocking for people to see. Thanks to members on DC3Foever. Also, I’m going to try my best to update all I can today – I’m having lots of trouble updating during the week on any of my sites due to my massive amounts of homework.
Beyonce Knowles accepted her Woman of the Year award last Friday (Oct. 2) during Billboard’s annual Women In Music luncheon held at New York’s Pierre Hotel, and after admitting to hating “giving acceptance speeches,” the honoree kept it brief, thanking her family for their unconditional support.
“I can’t believe all of the things I’ve been blessed to do this year, and I know it would not be possible without my family,” she said, looking over to her parents, Matthew and Tina Knowles, her cousin and former assistant, Angie Beyince, and former Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams. “I’ve been working with my parents since the beginning of Destiny’s Child, when I was nine years old. I am the luckiest young woman in the world to have my parents and that connection and genuine love and people that tell me when I’m wrong and people that always support me and love me unconditionally.” Continue reading Beyonce Accepts Woman of the Year Award Video…

View Beyonce’s Question and Answer here. Fans are still getting to know Sasha Fierce, Beyoncé’s musical alter ego, formally introduced on the singer’s 2008 album, “I Am…Sasha Fierce.”
Most probably don’t know, however, that the singer/songwriter has been friends with Fierce since elementary school.
Manager and father Mathew Knowles will never forget the moment he first met Fierce. A 7-year-old Beyoncé was entered in a talent search open to Houston elementary and middle school students. The song she sang? John Lennon’s “Imagine.” “Beyoncé was the youngest,” Knowles says. “She got up onstage and when she was finished, she received a standing ovation. Her mother [Tina Knowles] and I looked at each other and said, ‘That can’t be our Beyoncé. She’s shy and quiet.’ ”
Twenty-two years later, that simmering brew of shy, quiet talent peppered with fierce determination and ambition is at a boiling point. The former frontwoman of Destiny’s Child has come into her own, enjoying one of the best years of a still-evolving solo career.
On Oct. 2, Beyoncé will add one more honor to her array of accolades when she accepts Billboard’s Woman of the Year Award. The presentation will be made at Billboard’s Women in Music brunch in New York, recognizing the year’s top 30 women in the music business.
“Beyoncé is a multiplatinum artist and a multitalented woman who clearly embodies the qualities of excellence and achievement that the Billboard Woman of the Year Award was created to honor,” Billboard editorial director Bill Werde says. “She has not only influenced pop culture with her hit songs and her signature dance moves, but has inspired women everywhere with her unique style, business savvy and dedication to charitable causes.”
In the past 12 months alone, Beyoncé has accomplished several career milestones. She not only sang “American the Beautiful” during the opening ceremony of the 2009 presidential inauguration, she also sang the Etta James hit “At Last” as President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama danced their first dance at the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball. Beyonce and Lady Gaga were honored yesterday with the Woman of the Year and Rising Star awards, respectively, during Billboard’s annual Women In Music luncheon held at New York’s Pierre Hotel.
Werde then introduced Billboard’s 2009 Woman of the Year recipient. “It is theoretically possible someone on some other planet had a better year than Beyonce,” he quipped. “But I’m not buying it.”
“It’s obvious how classy she is,” Werde continued about Beyonce, who was accompanied by her mother and father, Matthew and Tina Knowles, and Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child. Beyonce accepted the award, remarking “I am the luckiest woman in the world.”
Beyonce then took the hot seat alongside radio personality and Oprah’s best friend, Gayle King, for a Q&A during which she was probed about her relationship with husband Jay-Z, her position as a role model for young women, and her goals for the future. “I really want to win an Oscar,” she revealed.
The event closed with heart-rending renditions of Beyonce’s hits “Halo” and “Single Ladies,” performed by Staten Island grade schoolers, the P.S. 22 Chorus.

Beyonce took some time out during her stay in Singapore to visit children cancer patients at a local hospital. She invited previous and current patients and their families to the ward where she sang acoustic versions of Radio and Halo. She also talked with patients and signed autographs.
Beyonce Knowles has sung about partying like a “naughty girl,” but Malaysians can expect her to be on her best behavior for a concert in this Muslim-majority country next month, the event’s organizer said Thursday.
The R&B superstar has attracted criticism in recent days from the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, the country’s largest opposition group, which wants authorities to scrap the Oct. 25 show because it would promote “Western sexy performances.”
Knowles, who is well-known for her provocative clothes and concert choreography, backed out of a concert in Malaysia two years ago after the Islamic party threatened to protest the show. Party officials have not planned any demonstrations for next month’s event.
Entertainment company Marctensia, the concert’s Malaysian organizer, said Knowles should be regarded as a “role model” and “embodiment of success” because of her heavy involvement in philanthropy work, including campaigns against poverty and domestic violence.
The company also allayed concerns that Knowles would wear inappropriate outfits, saying “all parties have come to an amicable understanding” about stage costumes at the stadium concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s largest city.
“We are confident that (the concert) will once and for all silence international critics and put Malaysia back on track … in presenting A-list international pop concerts in this region,” Marctensia said in a statement.
Tonight, FOX’s new show Glee will be doing a little parody of “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)”! It’s one of my favorite shows so try and catch it. You can see a preview of the parody here.
