Tonight, Beyonce, along with Country singer Brad Paisley, performed as part of Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. The event aired on NBC, and broadcasted a show of fireworks above New York’s Hudson River. Beyonce performed her hit “Best Thing I Never Had,” as well as her rendition of “God Bless the U.S.A.” She performed in front of service men and women with the Statue of Liberty in the background. Beyonce’s latest album 4 has earned the top spot on the UK’s Official Top 40 Albums Chart. Last week, Beyonce performed as the main headliner for Glastonbury Festival, and held a album release concert for some of her biggest London fans.
The Queen will also take the No. 1 spot in France, after its release last Monday. This will mark Beyonce’s first time being on the top of France’s albums chart. The album is also set to the debut at No. 1 on the United States Billboard Hot 200. Beyonce’s latest single, “Best Thing I Never Had,” is currently at #20 on the iTunes Singles Chart; along with other tracks, “End of Time,” “Countdown,” “I Was Here,” and “1+1.”
On June 30, Beyonce visited a Target store in Harlem, NY where she surprised many fans. In addition to meeting fans and signing autographs, she helped celebrate the store’s one-year anniversary.
