Welcome to the 7th version of BeyonceDaily.Org: A Diva Winter! I’ve been working on this layout for over a month and I’m finally glad it’s up and running! I definitely wanted the layout to be a lot more winter-ish and give you guys a little simpler look. I also want to tell you guys that I will have lots more updates now that everything I’ve been working on has been finished. I want to start off the new year right and I’m glad we’re beginning with a new layout!

You can also download Beyoncé’s episode of Punk’D off to the side of the layouts under the Recent Videos. I wanted to give this as part of my late Christmas present! I will be fixing up the content in the next few days as well as bringing along some new candids and photoshoots. Also some magazine scans, on the set photos, new music video captures, and more! So make sure you keep checking back!

Beyoncé’s performance of Barbra Streisand’s The Way We Were at the 2008 Kennedy Center Honors aired tonight! Beyoncé gave an amazing rendition of the 70′s hit. She also paid tribute to the honoree (Streisand) by donning the same look Barbra had in Funny Girl back in 1968. Bee looked stunning and did an amazing job performing this cover! Download and watch the performance below!

Top Albums of the year:
#2 Beyoncé I Am…Sasha Fierce
Any superstar worth her spangles knows that a pop music is all about capturing a Big Moment. But after a decade on the world stage, Ms. Knowles has also learned how to plant a seed and let it grow – or in this case, two seeds: the ballad-focused Beyoncé, and her dance-floor-boss-lady alter ego Sasha Fierce. Simultaneous singles “If I Were A Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” are undoubtedly album highlights; still, the surprise here is how consistently satisfying the rest of it is – even the less showy tracks blossom on repeated listening.

Great performances of the year:
Beyoncé, Live and on Video
There’s a reason Beyoncé’s choreographer affectionately calls her “a beast.” “She challenges you to come up with the best kind of movements,” says Frank Gatson, Jr, who’s worked with her for 12 years, “because she’s going to bring it every time.” That was more than obvious from her handful of electrifying live performances, and especially in the video for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).” That amazing clip features the 27-year-old superstar dancing her butt off in what appears to be one flawless take, although Jake Nava actually shot the video in three parts with multiple cameras on a 360-degree set. As YouTube fanatics immediately knew, the clip was inspired by the popular 2007 viral video “Walk It Out Fosse,” which features a goofy Bob Fosse dance routine set to a booming rap track. Gatson and Beyoncé were so taken with it that they decided to pay tribute. When the Fosse video’s creator, a writer named Judi Cutrone, first saw the homage, she was thrilled: “I was excited by the thought of Beyoncé at a computer, watching my [work].” Now “Single Ladies” is a phenomenon in its own right. It has spawned a flurry of parodies, including “big girl” and “single man” versions. “I was at a club the other night and when the song came on, three girls got on stage and performed the whole dance,” says Gatson. “I was like, This is almost like ‘Thriller’!

Here’s the first trailer for Beyoncé’s newest movie and first thriller: Obsessed! It also stars Ali Larter, from one of my favorite shows, Heroes. It looks great! Can’t wait to see more and can’t wait to see the movie! Also, there is currently one high quality still of the movie in the gallery, the 2nd one won’t add yet so I’m still trying to figure out why.
