As we reported earlier this week, Beyoncé’s camp had been working to get Kanye West to appear on her next single “Ego.” It makes sense, right? Well, we can exclusively confirm that the mission has been accomplished. Kanye went into a studio in Brazil this week to record his verse for “Ego.” The rap wasn’t completed in time to make B’s new album, but it will be released as a remix in the near future.

“Ego” is slated to be the second urban single off Beyoncé’s highly anticipated third album I Am… Sasha Fierce (Nov. 1Cool. The superstar gets cocky on the club-friendly R&B jam, which was written and produced by Elvis “BlacElvis” Williams and Harold Lilly.

Beyonce Reveals Title and Details About Her Forthcoming Double Album ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce’ Available Everywhere Tuesday, November 18

Music World Music/Columbia Records is releasing I Am… Sasha Fierce, the new full-length double album from the international superstar and cultural icon Beyonce on Tuesday, November 18.

“The new record is a double album and has two covers, like a magazine would have two covers,” Beyonce revealed. “One of the covers is named I Am… and the second cover is named Sasha Fierce. That is my alter ego and now she has a last name. I have someone else that takes over when it’s time for me to work and when I’m on stage, this alter ego that I’ve created that kind of protects me and who I really am. That’s why half the record, I Am…, is about who I am underneath all the makeup, underneath the lights, and underneath all the exciting star drama. And Sasha Fierce is the fun, more sensual, more aggressive, more outspoken side and more glamorous side that comes out when I’m working and when I’m on the stage. The double album allows me to take more risks and really step out of myself, or shall I say, step more into myself, and reveal a side of me that people only know me see.”

One of 2008′s most hotly anticipated new album releases, Beyonce’s new album is the artist’s first new studio collection since the Grammy-winning multi-platinum-selling B’Day debuted at #1 on charts around the world shortly after its international release on September 4, 2006 (in celebration of Beyonce’s 25th birthday).

Beyonce’s fans got their first taste of the two sides of I Am… Sasha Fierce with the simultaneous release in early October of “If I Were A Boy” (from I Am…) and “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” (from Sasha Fierce).

Songs on Beyonce’s I Am… include “If I Were A Boy,” “Halo,” “Disappear,” “Broken Hearted Girl,” “Ave Maria,” and “Satellites.” Beyonce’s Sasha Fierce performances include “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” “Radio,” “Diva,” “Sweet Dreams,” and “Video Phone.”

Last week, Mathew Knowles broke the news that Beyoncé will embark on a 110-date world tour that will begin in April 2009 and trek through Canada, Europe, the U.S. (with a one-week stint in Las Vegas), Mexico, South America, Japan, Africa, and Australia. But what you didn’t hear was that Beyoncé won’t be the only Knowles on the road.

Discussions are under way for Solange to join her big sis’ on tour. After seeing the elder Knowles rock arenas, fans would be able to go to a more intimate location and watch Solange perform at an official “after-party.” Specific details have yet to be announced.

Beyoncé is scheduled to release her third album I Am… on November 18th, while Solange’s sophomore release SoL-AngeL and The Hadley St. Dreams is available now.
