Beyoncé is planning to switch musical direction on her third solo album.
The singer is reportedly prepared to ditch her usual heavy R’n'B for a more dancefloor-orientated LP.
The former Destiny’s Child star has hired Brighton dance act Freemasons to work on some tracks for the record.
Freemasons’ James Wiltshire told the Daily Star: “The album is going to be huge.
“It will rival anything the likes of Britney and Rihanna have done recently. Beyoncé and her team can see where mistakes were made on the last album.
“It was very American, very R’n'B and stripped back. They want to go for a more international sound this time.”

She came, she saw and she conquered us all with her every bootylicious move! But no one knows a very important detail of the spellbinding Beyonce concert.
The oohs and aahs were audible when the ‘Crazy In Love’ singer stepped onstage wearing a pink lehenga-choli that was put together for her by apna Rocky S.
“I got as call from Beyonce’s manager the morning of the concert requesting me to bring a couple of outfits that Beyonce could try on for the concert later in the day,
says an excited Rocky, who took over two dozen outfits with him to the hotel, out of which Beyonce choose over a dozen pieces she liked immensely.
“After she zeroed in on the pink lehenga-choli, she selected another outfit for the after-show party and also 12 more pieces to take back. I feel honoured that she chose me to do her outfits — and that too in a matter of hours before the show!

Music World Music/Columbia Records will release “The Beyonce Experience LIVE!” — a deluxe DVD capturing all the visual thrills and musical excitement of the year’s most spectacular world concert tour, “The Beyonce Experience brought to you by Samsung and L’Oreal Paris” — on Tuesday, November 20.
Recorded on September 2, 2007 during Beyonce’s SRO performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, “The Beyonce Experience LIVE!” DVD contains Beyonce’s full concert performance — more than 2 hours of music — and includes performances by special guest artist Jay-Z as well as that evening’s historic reunion of Beyonce’s R&B/pop supergroup Destiny’s Child.
Superstar and cultural icon Beyonce launched her 2007 world tour in Tokyo on April 10 following the release of her latest chart-topping album, “B’Day,” bringing the multi-media extravaganza stateside beginning July 6 at the Superdome in New Orleans.
The most eagerly-anticipated tour of 2007, “The Beyonce Experience brought to you by Samsung and L’Oreal Paris” showcases the international music and film star, along with her sizzling all-female band, performing musical hits, classics, and surprises in a newly-created high-tech state-of-the-art concert environment. The show’s production is conceived by Beyonce. Tina Knowles is stylist for the tour and, for the House of Dereon, one of the show’s wardrobe designers, along with Elie Saab, Giorgio Armani and Versace.
In conjunction with the stateside leg of “The Beyonce Experience,” Music World/Columbia Records released Beyonce’s B’DAY Deluxe Edition, an expanded two-CD edition of the pop icon’s best-selling Grammy-winning solo album.

“I’m supposed to be on vacation, but I’ve been in the studio because that’s what I love to do. I don’t feel like it’s my job. It’s a blessing for me to be able to do what I love. That’s how it is for everyone who loves music. I knew it would be difficult for him because it’s a part of our makeup.”

Laying a foundation for the growth and development of children in an atmosphere of peace and compassion is a basic requirement for all societies, says Deputy Prime Minister Libertina Amathila.
Amathila was addressing students from the Cosmos and Delta high schools in Windhoek this week during a visit by the organiser of the first World Peace Tour Concert, to be hosted in Namibia on April 22 next year.
She said Government applauds the decision of the organisers to select Namibia as the first venue for such an important global music endeavour.
Music legends such as Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Cool and the Gang, Peabo Bryson and Celine Dion are expected to perform alongside popular and upcoming local artists.
“We believe as Government that the concert will contribute toward spreading the message of peace, compassion and hope for children who are less privileged in the world, and who need social understanding and help to realise their full human potential,”
Amadhila said.
Amadhila added that Namibia was an appropriate venue for the concert because of its stable, peaceful, friendly and democratic environment.
“We are mindful of the extensive international attention this concert draws to the country, therefore we view the concert as yet another golden opportunity to showcase Namibian hospitality, warmth and talent.”
Concert organiser Wolfgang Hildebrandt said he was excited about the concert and everybody wants to come on board.
“Every day we receive emails from Namibian artists wanting to take part in the concert, and we will be recording a theme song for the concert with the Namibian traditional group Ongombe, who will be flying to Los Angeles for the recordings,”
he said.

A host of new multimedia mobile phones are poised to hit retail shelves just in time for the holiday sales season. Just a week after Verizon unveiled a touch-screen iPhone competitor as part of its fall device lineup, Sprint pulled the curtain back on a pair of new devices as well.
The biggest splash in the music department is the Samsung limited edition B’Phone, a Beyonce-branded version of the UpStage music phone originally introduced earlier this year. It was unveiled this morning (Oct. 11) at the Samsung store in New York’s Time Warner Building.
The handset features gold-and-burgundy colors designed by Beyonce, a Beyonce-themed startup screen and the ability to download exclusive Beyonce photos, videos and a song she recorded as a child.
“When I was 10, I recorded a song called ‘632-5792′ — a phone number. It’s a little embarrassing but it’s cute. There’s a recording of that song on the phone exclusively for my fans,” Beyonce told journalists. “I wanted to make sure people got a feel for who I really am. It’s only through this phone that you can get this close to my life.”
“Beyonce is a global superstar,”
