Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, has filed for divorce from the pop diva’s father and manager, Mathew Knowles. Tina Knowles began legal proceedings Nov. 11, according to documents filed with the Harris County Court Clerk. She launched the House of Dereon clothing line with Beyonce in 2006.

“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners,” the couple said in a statement provided to The Associated Press on Friday. “If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”

The divorce filing came about a month after Mathew Knowles was named in a paternity suit. Los Angeles resident Alexsandra Wright claims in the lawsuit that he is the father of her unborn child.

Tina and Mathew Knowles wed in 1980. In addition to 27-year-old Beyonce, they have another daughter, 23-year-old singer Solange.

I’ve been waiting for this for weeks and I capped it! This episode of The Tyra Show is just all about Beyonce! The hour-long episode features Tyra going backstage and around getting a personal tour by Beyonce herself! It also includes a House of Dereon Fashion Show and baby Julez! There’s so many things in the episode of Tyra that I love. She even sold t-shirts to fans, put on the Ring the Alarm Coat, toured Bee’s tour bus and more! I do apologize for thefile size of each part. The reason they’re so large is because they’re so long. If anyone would prefer, I could upload .RM files for Real Media Player. Our chat fest with Beyoncé and Tina Knowles went into overtime and we couldn’t fit the whole info-packed interview in the magazine. So here’s more of what this dynamic mother/daughter fashion team had to say about their hip clothing line. Plus, Tina’s styling tips.

COSMO: How did your House of Dereon line come to be?
BEYONCÉ: My fans kept asking where they could get clothes like Destiny’s Child’s, so it was only natural for us to do a clothing line. I was adamant about not putting my name on something that I didn’t love. I wanted to make sure it was true and honest and really something that we designed.

COSMO: Do you design with your daughter’s style in mind?
TINA: The dresses definitely reflect Beyoncé’s taste and style.

COSMO: What’s most important to you when designing something with your name behind it?
BEYONCÉ: I’m adamant about fit. I’ve worn dresses from all different price ranges, and the thing that couture dresses have in common is that the fit is amazing.

COSMO: Does your music inspire the designs?
BEYONCÉ: Definitely. I always talk about fashion in my lyrics. The clothes aren’t made for the stage, but they’re made for women who want to feel like superstars and have eyes on them when they walk into a room.

COSMO: Have you ever had a wardrobe malfunctions on stage?
BEYONCÉ: I recently fell down the stairs because my heel got caught in the hem of my coat. But really, I’ve fallen down the stairs a lot of times, so I can’t only blame it on the coat! TINA: Remember the time, you were maybe 15, I had you in those really tall platforms and you fell? You got right back up like it was a turn, and nobody knew.

The unbelievable duo shot the video with GaGa's mindset on it being a pop culture phenomenon. Beyonce and Lady GaGa star in the song's 9 minute-long spectacle of a video shot in January 2010.

			Alicia Keys brings her long-time friend Beyonce on her 3rd single and fan-favorite song "Put It In A Love Song." Together they sing about how someone needs to write a song to confess their love for someone. Beyonce's own famous track is played around in that way. The music video for the new hit track was filmed in Brazil in February 2010.
