Usher
As yet untitled, due spring
What’s the Deal: “There’s a lack of substance in music right now,â€? says R&B hitmaker Usher. But his fifth album has the cure: positive-message songs, like the pro-gentlemen “Chivalry,â€? and “Here I Stand,â€? about “the valor of a man.â€?
Why We’re Excited: Planned collaborators include Jay-Z, Ludacris, Beyoncé and T-Pain. “I am the consummate entertainer,â€? Usher says. “I’m going around the globe to work with the greatest.â€?
Behind the Music: Married, with a lil’ Usher on the way, the bedroom bandit insists he’s changed: “I’m stepping away from the out-all-night, find-a-woman-and-leave-when-it’s-through type of dude. You can only spend so much time in the club, you dig?

Yay much?

Beyonce is listed under the performers on Rock on TV to perform at Elvis: Viva Las Vegas! There’s even a recently-released quote from her about how she feels about Elvis! I hope she does it!
“When you think of Elvis, and when you think of sparkle, and you think of show business, you think of flash, you think of those performances,”
says Beyoncé Knowles.
“And I think still, to this day, modern performers look to that to get a lot of inspiration.”

Jay-Z On the Wedding: “One Day Soon…”

When will Beyoncé, 26, and boyfriend of more than four years Jay-Z, 37, finally say “I Do”?
“One day soon — let’s leave it at that,”
the usually tight-lipped rapper told reporters earlier today at a press conference in Las Vegas, where he announced plans to open his third 40/40 Club at the luxury Palazzo hotel.
Would they tie the knot in Sin City?
“I don’t know,” he said. “It’s kind of comfortable here. If [Palazzo President Rob Goldstein] throws in the ring, who knows?â€?
At least they’d have somewhere to celebrate: His new $20 million, 24,000-square-foot club — slated to open December 20 — will come complete with 24-karat gold and platinum floors, 85 plasma TVs and — count ‘em! — five VIP rooms.
“Las Vegas is like no other place in the world,” he said.
In fact, he says he may even snap up digs there eventually.
“I’m going to ask [Goldstein] for advice,” Jay-Z said. “He’s pretty good with the real estate. We’ll see what happens.â€?
