Beyonce Refuses to Sign a Painting |

R&B Singer, Beyonce Knowles, left a fan heartbroken, when she refused to sign a portrait of herself that took him well over 80 hours to paint.

Artist Paul Stillwell, who took to painting to deal with his mum’s death, had painted the ‘Destiny’s Child’ star in the cover of her ‘Dangerously in Love’ album.

Stilwell wanted to get the singer’s autograph on his work and he traveled all the way to London to meet her, when she visited the country for her Wembley concert.

“I traveled 100 miles to London and waited outside her hotel for five hours. … When she came out I showed her my painting and said, ‘Beyoncé, will you sign my painting?’ She said, ‘No, sorry,’ and walked away,â€? the New York Daily News quoted him, as saying.

The artist said that he was ‘devastated’, when the 25-year-old walked away without even considering his request.

He added that it took him more than three days to make the portrait and Beyonce did not even want to spare 2 seconds to sign on it.

“I was devastated, as the painting took me over 80 hours to paint and I had put my whole heart and soul into it. I was shocked that she wouldn’t take two seconds of her time to sign her name on it,” he added.

Sounds to me like someone has a lot of time on their hands. In all honesty- he couldnt expect for Beyonce to autograph his painting by just waiting outside her hotel. Beyonce (like any other person) is a busy woman and cannot always sign everyone’s autograph. Man these European tabloids and blogs can be quite harsh.

Hold on, Whoever wrote that last paragraph, are you damn serious? That was so damn rude of her and how dare you try to blame it on the fan? I understand she cant sign everyones autograph but I’m sure a BIG ASS painting of her stood out amongst others. I love Bee but now my respect for her is slowly decreasing.

She didn’t wanna sign it cuz she thought he was go turn around and sell it. these celebrities always want you to buy into everything they put out especially beyonce, but they don’t want anybody to make money off of them.

Umm… if she were to sign it, it would seem like she painted it. It would be stupid for her to sign that and have him make money off of it… duh!!

I totally with the last two people. I understand that it took him forever to paint the picture and I’m sure she understood that. But I’m sorry the way people use the signature of a artist to get money makes me sick! How can he be mad, not saying he’s the one to blame but I doubt if she completely ignored him! Get a grip sorry, but it’s just not that serious to be World Wide Breaking News!

No, I have to agree with the first commentor: Has your idolatry of Beyonce caused you to “lose yo mind”?? She was rude, end of story. She’s imperfect, that’s part of being human-she can be wrong, too. It destroys your credibility when you side with on things that are so common sense-the girl pretty much flipped him off. Also, could you be anymore hardhearted? The guy with “too much time on his hands” just lost his mother. Grow the hell up.
